Senior partner since 2016, architect Alain Boudrias has led projects, studies, expertise reports and specification works, in addition to being involved in the administrative management of the firm. Appreciated for his rigorous work, he has been involved in many projects in the field of education, government, airport and industrial.
By carrying out complex project in existing buildings, he became an expert at solving this type of mandate’s specific issues, such as planification and phasing of work in occupied buildings, coordination of consultants and tracking of costs and schedules. He also has in-depth knowledge of the specific requirements of preparatory studies and inspection reports. In addition to his technical skills he has developed over the years a work methodology in which he emphasizes the need for good communication with the client and all stakeholder as a prerequisite for the fast and efficient development of projects.
What sets Alain Boudrias apart is the depth of his expertise on all aspects of building science, especially those related to the envelope. He is a LEED accredited professional, a member of the Quebec Building Envelope Council (QBEC), an actively involved member of Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) and of its Quebec sub-committee, as well as a trainer in specifications writing for CSC. His mastery of projects’ technical aspects, of specification and cost estimation methodologies, and of sustainability principles are all assets he uses to carry out quality projects for the benefit of his clients. He also masters tasks related to regulatory studies, technical appraisals, energy efficiency studies, construction contract management and site surveillance, as well as claim analysis. Involved in all project phases, he plays both a technical and an administrative role, as well as an expert role in construction dispute cases.
