With a L-shaped plan, the school has 43 classrooms, a double gymnasium, a library as well as support and administrative functions. The program spreads over three floors and the building will be built close to a swimming pool, on the site of a former golf course.
With its large openings, the building is very bright. The school’s plan is organized around a large gathering space, an open atrium open on two of the building’s three floors. The space, filled with natural light, is bordered by a monumental staircase and a mezzanine hallway leading to the classrooms and the library. With tiered-seating on its periphery, the atrium is a natural amphitheater that opens into the courtyards and brings continuity between the indoor and outdoor spaces.
