Hélène Vallée joined Jodoin Lamarre Pratte architectes in 2015 with nearly thirty years of experience and expertise in institutional architecture. She is a rigorous architect with a keen analytical mind, working primarily as a project manager in the fields of transportation, education, and healthcare. Given the increasing complexity of projects today, her great versatility and diversified practical experience are a considerable asset to the firm.
As soon as she arrived, Hélène was involved in a number of hospital projects, including the complex redevelopment of specialized zones to incorporate cutting-edge medical equipment. She has also managed the redevelopment of various educational establishments, such as the redesign of Collège Marie-Victorin’s childhood education department and the extension and renovation of Ikusik School in Salluit, Nunavik’s second most northern community. Hélène subsequently developed her expertise in executing large-scale projects in the field of transportation by joining the Bureau de projets prolongements et grands projets métro, whose primary mission is to extend the Blue line and all related components. She is also the project manager for Defence Construction Canada’s facilities at Bagotville military base to house new fighter jets.
As Director, and as part of the firm’s project management and health and safety committees, Hélène contributes to training and supporting the next generation. Her interpersonal skills and her ability to listen contribute significantly to the depth and richness of the team.
