Bike-to-Work Operation 2025: 23,172 km Covered
As part of its commitment to reducing its carbon footprint, Jodoin Lamarre Pratte architectes launched the Bike-to-Work Operation for the first time in 2024. The initiative aims to encourage all team members to adopt cycling as a mode of transportation for commuting between home and work from April to November, while rigorously tracking their trips and distances traveled.
Having recorded 2,763 trips and covered 12,549 kilometers in 2024, the firm’s Bike and Sustainable Development Committee set a collective challenge to reach 20,000 kilometers in 2025.
Ultimately, 23,172 kilometers were traveled from April 14 to November 14, and 6,084 trips were recorded.
Cyclists who covered the greatest distances:
1st position — Minh-Giao Truong, Architect, with 2 574 km
2nd position — Marian Haiduc, Architectural Graphic Designer and Urban Designer (M. Sc. A.), with 1 160 kilomètres
3rd position — Janie Ouellette, M. Arch., Intern Architect, with 1 146 kilomètres
Cyclists who completed the most trips:
1st position — Hugo Robillard, M. Arch., with 266 trips
2nd position — Janie Ouellette, M. Arch., Intern Architect, with 252 trips
3rd position — Benjamin Lavagne, M. Arch. (ENSA, FR), and Flavie Michel, Proposal Writer and Content Manager, with 246 trips
Thanks to all participating cyclists, 4.9 tonnes of CO₂e were not emitted into the atmosphere — equivalent to three round trips from Montreal to Vancouver by car or one hectare of forest protected from deforestation for a year.
Thank you and congratulations for your continued commitment!
