Conception d’une nouvelle aérogare pour l’aéroport de Montmagny
As part of a call for tenders issued by the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable aimed at expanding airport operations at Montmagny Airport, Jodoin Lamarre Pratte architectes was awarded the mandate to design the expansion and modernization of the existing facilities.
The project includes redeveloping the apron** and replacing the current terminal with a larger building to house new waiting, check-in and administrative areas.
Among the airport’s clientele are Parks Canada, various government departments, and the population of Saint-Antoine-de-l’Isle-aux-Grues, which is accessible by air only during the winter season. The airport provides essential services, including passenger transportation, medical evacuations, and supply deliveries.
The firm's experience in the field of air transport since the 1980s will be put to good use in the implementation of this important project for the Chaudière-Appalaches community.
** The apron is the designated area of an airport where aircraft are parked, unloaded, loaded, refueled, and where passengers board. Also referred to as the "tarmac" or "ramp," the apron is generally located adjacent to the terminal building.
