Death of Michel Dupuis, retired Architect, Director
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our former colleague Michel Dupuis on June 6, 2023.
Director Michel Dupuis joined Jodoin Lamarre Pratte architectes in 1984 with experience in construction site supervision in Nunavik. A keen athlete and outdoor enthusiast, he was known within the firm for his knowledge, his passion for sharing his expertise, and his experience building in northern Quebec. Between 1989 and 2020, he was involved in around thirty projects in the region, including new builds, renovations, and extensions.
He also participated, as a site supervisor or supervision manager, in overseeing the construction of numerous institutional projects, including the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, the Richard J. Renaud Science Complex at Concordia University, Collège Saint-Louis, the Michal and Renata Hornstein Pavilion for Peace at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, and the Théâtre Gilles-Vigneault.
In tribute to his retirement at the end of 2020 and his thirty-six years with the firm, including twenty-eight as a Director (1989–2017), we conducted an interview with him. In it, he shares memories of his career and journey, as well as his passions for anthropology, Inuit culture, and the Far North.

Réception et recueillement à la mémoire de Michel
Outre son épouse Danielle St-Amand, il laisse dans le deuil ses deux sœurs : Jocelyne (Michel Fontaine) et Chantal (Françoise Limoges); sa belle-sœur : Muriel St-Amand; ses nièces : Isabelle, Béatrice et Léa-Rose, ainsi que parents, amis, anciens collègues de travail et camarades de plein air.
La famille vous accueillera le jeudi 15 juin 2023 de 19 à 22 heures et le vendredi 16 juin à compter de 9 heures au Complexe funéraire Le Sieur, situé au 60, boul. Pie IX, à Granby.
La Liturgie de la parole sera célébrée le vendredi 16 juin 2023 à 11 heures en la Chapelle du Complexe, suivi de l’aquamation au Bio-Crématorium Le Sieur de Granby. L’inhumation au cimetière Mgr Pelletier de Granby aura lieu à une date ultérieure.
