Parcours transition écologique and VÉLOSYMPATHIQUE certification program
We are pleased to announce that Jodoin Lamarre Pratte architectes has been selected as one of 20 SMEs to be part of the 2024 cohort of "Parcours transition écologique." This one-year personalized coaching program is designed to equip managers to guide business growth that combines sustainability and performance. As a responsible corporate citizen in a context of profound environmental change, the firm is eager to mobilize its leadership toward creating a decarbonized business model.
As part of its commitment to reducing its carbon footprint, but also to encouraging sustainable mobility and physical activity, the firm fostered a genuine cycling culture within the company and has begun the process of obtaining VÉLOSYMPATHIQUE certification from Vélo Québec. Beyond recognizing organizations that encourage active and sustainable modes of transportation and healthy lifestyle habits, this certification provides a framework for continuous improvement through the implementation of concrete actions. To this end, the firm has created a bicycle committee, shares resources and knowledge, and increased interior bicycle storage during the redevelopment of the office’s first floor.
Cycling has many benefits
Commuting to work by bike has many benefits and can become an enjoyable sporting habit. With the arrival of summer, Jodoin Lamarre Pratte architectes invites its entire community to discover the benefits of cycling: it's a healthy, ecological, economical, and fast means of transport that lets you admire the landscape while commuting. It can also have positive effects on our general wellbeing, both physical (increased energy levels, more brain oxygenation, and better immune system performance) and psychological (reduced stress and anxiety).
