Visit To Denmark: Health Architecture & Clinical Logistics Tour 2016
The firm, represented by Principal Architect, Michel Broz, had the opportunity to take part in tours of innovative projects in the healthcare field in Denmark, from October 24-30. These visits were intended to offer participants the chance to meet with the architects of these projects, to provide a deeper understanding of the Danish health system, and to allow for the documentation of Danish expertise in realising new, major hospital projects that have improved the health infrastructure and social services of the country of 5.7 million inhabitants.
Representatives from health care facilities and architectural firms specialized in programming in Canada – from Halifax to Vancouver – had the opportunity to visit recently built healthcare facilities, including a nursing home for patients suffering from cognitive disorders in Egeparken, a 250,000 m² teaching hospital in Aarhus, and the regional Hvidovre Hospital near Copenhagen.
