Expansion and modernization of the Verdun Hospital
Our team, in consortium with Menkès Shooner Dagenais LeTourneux and CGA, was mandated in early 2019 by the Société québécoise des infrastructures (SQI) to design and carry out the major modernization project of the Verdun Hospital. The construction of a 24,500 m² building, which represents a 60% expansion of the existing hospital's surface area, will meet the needs of its growing and aging population in a care environment conducive to well-being.
The new five-storey pavilion will be connected to the existing building by a walkway on all levels, allowing for a segregated and fluid circulation between the different functions and services. The project also includes the construction of an atrium and a new receiving and delivery dock.
