New Bagotville's facilities for fighter jets
As part of the multidisciplinary team formed by the EllisDon – EBC joint venture, Jodoin Lamarre Pratte architectes and Stantec (engineering) are working on designing facilities for new aircraft at the Bagotville military base as part of the Future Fighter Capability Project. Designed according to stringent security standards and integrating high technology, the complex will house an operational headquarters, simulation and training areas, computer rooms, as well as spaces for long-term maintenance and operation of the new aircraft acquired by the Royal Canadian Air Force.
Leveraging high sustainability standards, the project is aligned with the « Greening Government Strategy » and is seeking LEED Silver certification. It follows a « Modified Design-Build » approach —an innovative delivery model used by Defence Construction Canada for its major projects—, which combines the advantages of the design-build model while allowing for a more iterative process between the designer-builder and the client.
