Major Asset Maintenance Programs: The Firm Continues its STM Mandate
Since 2012, Jodoin Lamarre Pratte architectes has been working for the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) on renovating and modernizing the infrastructure of the Montréal metro. The firm first worked in a consortium with STGM and Bisson Fortin for the Bureau de projets infrastructures metro and since 2019 it has provided architectural services to the Direction principale Grands programmes de maintien des actifs métro (GPMAM), in a consortium with STGM, Coex (Barin), and Bisson Fortin.
As part of the same consortium, the firm recently once again won the contract to provide architectural services to the GPMAM until 2029. In addition to overseeing projects to modernize the infrastructure of the metro network and to make it universally accessible, GPMAM is also responsible for the renovation and electrification of the bus network. In electrifying the bus fleet, it will also be necessary to transform transit centres and construct new buildings.
Given its commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and encouraging sustainable mobility, Jodoin Lamarre Pratte architectes is delighted to continue supporting the STM in its mission to offer sustainable, accessible, and safe public transit to the population of the Montreal region, as well as in the careful renovation of its modern architectural heritage.
