New Radiotherapy Treatment Center at Rouyn-Noranda Hospital
Jodoin Lamarre Pratte architectes will develop the radiotherapy service extension at the Rouyn-Noranda hospital, in consortium with TRAME Architecture + Paysage. The estimated $ 27.5-million project to be established in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region will serve a population that is both remote from the major centers and spread over a vast territory.
The project, with an approximate area of 3,500 m² spread over two floors, consists of the construction of an autonomous building and the development of two linear accelerators. A footbridge will link the expansion and the Rouyn-Noranda hospital to benefit from certain hospital services and the oncology department.
Jodoin Lamarre Pratte architectes has the greatest expertise in Quebec in the realization of oncology projects, having designed and directed more than a dozen major projects in radiation oncology, most recently the new Integrated Cancer Center of the new hospital complex in Quebec City (in progress) and the Regional integrated Cancer Center at the Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis (under construction).
