Appointment of Two New Architect Directors
With the start of the new year, Jodoin Lamarre Pratte architectes is pleased to announce the appointment of architects Kim Letendre and Roxanne Rochette as directors. This evolution of their roles within the firm will enhance its areas of expertise and organizational structure, two key factors that support its growth and the quality of its service offering.
In addition to possessing distinct expertise and complementary profiles, playing key roles in the firm’s projects, and acting as mentors for the next generation, the architect directors also sit on the project steering committee with the senior partners. This committee oversees and coordinates all activities related to the provision of professional services and ensures that projects run smoothly.
Kim Letendre
Architect, Director
Transportation
A graduate of Université de Montréal’s master’s and bachelor’s programs in architecture, Kim Letendre joined Jodoin Lamarre Pratte architectes in 2009 after completing internships with Montreal architecture studios and artists, including Melvin Charney. Since her early years with the firm, she has been developing her skills in the areas of airport and rail transportation. In addition to participating in a major pre-project study for the extension of the Montreal metro’s blue line for the STM, she worked on realizing several redevelopment and expansion projects at Montreal-Trudeau International Airport, including the redevelopment of the departures area, the expansion of the international pier (LEED Silver), the expansion of the commercial sector and VIP lounges, and the Major City-Side Development Program (2017–2020). Committed and meticulous, she has developed expertise in the static and dynamic analysis of pedestrian flows, which she is putting to good use in the design of projects like the REM Airport station to develop spaces adapted to ridership, movement, and people’s behaviors in order to avoid congestion.
In the cultural sector, she was involved in the design and preparation of the construction documents for the renovation of Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier and its foyers, and in the corporate sector, in the renovation of the Business Development Bank of Canada’s head office (LEED Gold)—two projects distinguished by the high quality of their construction details.
Roxanne Rochette
Architect, Director, LEED AP BD+C
Healthcare
Roxanne Rochette holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in architecture from Université de Montréal, and a degree in interior design from Cégep Marie-Victorin. Motivated by the impact of architecture on well-being in hospital design, she has dedicated her practice to the field of healthcare since joining Jodoin Lamarre Pratte architectes in 2017. Through the realization of the final phase of the new CHUM hospital complex in downtown Montreal, the expansion of the Hôpital de La Malbaie, and the new Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital, she has developed specific skills in the clinical design of ambulatory and therapeutic care sectors, notably in the surgery, endoscopy, and medical device reprocessing departments. Combining technical rigor, creativity, and caring, she is committed to providing healthy, soothing environments for patients, while optimizing functionality and ergonomics for caregivers.
As a LEED BD+C accredited professional and member of the sustainable development committee, Roxanne ensures the integration of innovative methods and sustainable, eco-responsible solutions into the firm’s projects. Equally committed to continuous practice improvement and process optimization, she actively participates in the BIM and Health committees to meet the unique challenges of these fields of expertise.
