Nicolas Ranger inducted into the RAIC College of Fellows
The entire team at Jodoin Lamarre Pratte architectes would like to congratulate senior partner Nicolas Ranger, who has been elected to the College of Fellows of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) in recognition of his outstanding contribution to architecture.
"With this election, your peers demonstrate the high esteem in which they hold you and recognize the value of your pursuit of excellence and your personal contributions to our profession. The nomination process is handled by many dedicated volunteers who give it their utmost attention. It is ultimately supported by the College of Fellows across the country and abroad.
The title of Fellow is bestowed with deep respect, with the aim of paying homage to individuals who deserve to be recognized. Selected architects have distinguished themselves through their dedication to their communities and their profession. The College of Fellows celebrates this remarkable commitment and hopes to inspire other great achievements."
The RAIC announced the 2025 RAIC College Fellows on March 7. In Quebec, only four architects were elected.
Nicolas was nominated by Michel Broz, RAIC Fellow since 2019, in the category of "Distinguished contribution through excellence in architectural design, design management or innovation as supported by peer recognition or design awards."
Fellows will be officially inducted to the RAIC College on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at a convocation ceremony held in conjunction with the RAIC Conference on Architecture in Montreal, QC.

With a sensitivity toward dialogue and openness that is characteristic of large multidisciplinary teams, Nicolas Ranger has developed expertise at Jodoin Lamarre Pratte architectes in designing complex public projects involving a large number of stakeholders, and in the institutional fields of transportation, culture, and health.
His collaborative approach, technical knowledge, and leadership are leveraged in his role as Project Director for Aéroports de Montréal (ADM) which he took on in 2015, among others. He has overseen all the firm's projects at Montréal-Trudeau Airport for the past decade, and from 2017 to 2020 he led the major “city-side” infrastructure development program, which includes the construction of the future REM station—an essential component of sustainable mobility.
Through his work on several cultural projects, mainly competitions, Nicolas Ranger has also developed an expertise in the realization of innovative projects. The Raymond-Lévesque Library in Longueuil (winner of more than twenty national and international awards), the Michal and Renata Hornstein Pavillion for Peace at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, and the Théâtre Gilles-Vigneault were all awarded the Governor General's Medal in Architecture in 2014, 2018, and 2020 respectively—the highest distinction in Canadian architecture. He held the role of project manager for the Metamorphosis of the Montréal Insectarium, an ambitious LEED Gold-certified museum project that won the Grand prix d'excellence en architecture 2023 from the Ordre des architectes du Québec.
